SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to SRD the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The service position established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will here mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
